On the 14th July 2012 , Bristol Academys Grace McCatty will be beginning a solo cycle from John OGroats to Lands End over 11 days to raise money to build a school in Zambia. Here she tells us why and how you can support her in changing lives.
“After spending the summer of 2010 in Zambia working with EduSport, the people I met will forever hold a place in my heart. The project reaches and changes the lives of so many young people in a truly inspirational way and I am grateful that I was able to be part of it”
“In a country where education is a privilege, I am part of a group striving to make it accessible for as many young people as possible and this is the start of that. Friend of EduSport, the UK partner charity, has recently bought land to build a permanent school on but lacks funds to construct the building. My aim is to raise enough money, approximately £5000 to build the first classroom of what will truly be a life changing school”
“Zambia holds a very special place in my heart and this solo cycling challenge is my way of raising money to give back. By supporting and donating, no matter what the size, you will be contributing to providing education and a chance at life to those in one of the most impoverished communities in Africa”
“Please take a moment and donate (it's quick and easy online). Whatever you can spare will go towards making such a difference in the lives of so many! Thank you so much.”
