Bristol Academy Womens Football club (BAWFC) is starting a new training programme for aspiring footballers, the Bristol Academy Skills Centre.
The Bristol Academy Skills Centre is for anyone looking to develop football skills in a professional environment.
The Skills Centre will start in September 2011 running every Wednesday evening, 6:00pm – 7:00pm at Filton College WISE Campus on the state of the art 3G astro turf pitch. The Centre will have two groups separated into age groups under 13 and under 15. Training is open to all, initially on a trial basis of six weeks.
All players joining the Skills Centre will be monitored by BAWFC staff and have an opportunity to progress to the club's prestigious Centre of Excellence.
Individuals will also become full members of the club with official BAWFC training kit and tickets for BAWFC FA WSL matches and events.
Head Coach, Mark Sampson comments: “BAWFC has run a Centre of Excellence for the last four years and is now looking to open its doors to more of Bristol’s budding footballers. The club is delighted to offer people the chance to use the fantastic facilities at Filton College and work with qualified BAWFC staff and players.”
