Tomorrow Bristol Academy Reserves face an away trip against league newcomers Gillingham Ladies Reserves.
Last weekend the Vixens Reserves drew 0 – 0 away to Charlton Athletic Reserves at Charlton’s training ground. For most of the game the Vixens found themselves the more dominant team, but failed to take their chances.
Bristol had many chances to score but Abby Reynolds could only watch her effort strike the crossbar from 18 yards. Kim Magg’s came close moments later as her shot went just wide of the left hand post. In the dying moments of the game Kirsten Rendall’s header went just over from Gabby Bird’s cross.
After the game the Reserve team manager Lee Rendall spoke to bristolacademywfc.co.uk and said “It was a game which we dominated from start to finish and our defence were in control when they caught us on the counter attack. We needed to take our chances when we had them in front of goal and we would have come away worthy winners.”
