Jemma started her career playing for Plymouth Argyle Centre of Excellence. When she turned 16 she started playing for Plmouth Arglye Ladies in the SW Combination league. At the end of the 2008 season Jemma took up a two year scholarship at the FA Player Development Centre at Loughborough Univeristy. Whilst in her first year, Jemma joined Bristol Academy for the first time and then moved on to play for Birmingham City Ladies in the 2009/10 season. In 2010 Jemma rejoined Bristol Academy before the start of the FA WSL season. 2011 proved to be a successful year for Jemma at the FA Awards. Jemma won goal of the season for her long range free-kick agaisnt Doncaster Rovers Belles and also won FA Young Player of the Year. In 2011 Jemma played in the UEFA Women's Champions League against Energiya Voronezh at Ashton Gate and was sent off for a hand ball on the goal line. Jemma has also had a succesfull international career. In 2008 she captained the England U17 side. In 2008 Jemma appeared at the U17 World Cup in New Zeland. She has since progressed through the ranks up to U19 and currently the U23's. Jemma made her debut for the Under 23's against USA in February 2012.
